AMD has announced a new AI Bundle, which will be available to all Radeon GPU owners as an optional update to the Adrenalin driver.
AMD Adrenaline AI Pack to Launch Next Week, Simplifying AI Development and Creative Workflows on AMD Hardware
Those looking to get to grips with the new AI tools can now have a simplified ecosystem next week, as AMD just announced the launch date of its recently announced Adrenaline Edition AI bundle. The new installer will be released on January 21, positioning it as a simple way for users to get started with AI development and workflows on existing AMD hardware.
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition Expanded to Offer Seamless AI Integration
AMD also introduced the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition AI Bundle, a new optional feature designed to simplify and speed up local AI setup. With one efficient installation, the AI Bundle equips AMD-powered systems with the essential tools needed to start building and running AI workloads, eliminating complex configurations and reducing setup time. Users can access popular applications for local drawing and LLM creation, as well as new support for PyTorch on Windows, making it even easier to explore AI development right on their PC.
AMD used the tagline “AI made simple” in its announcement post, indicating that the installer is designed to remove the complexity that comes with setting up AI tools, especially for users new to AI development and workflows. According to the company, the AI bundle will be a simplified installer, which will incorporate the essential tools required for AI development and creation. So, this will reduce the hassle of finding and installing compatible drivers and utilities to get started.
For creators, the new package will help with AI creative workflows such as image creation and other content creation tasks that rely on local AI processing. This package will allow users to access popular applications for these tasks and will also offer support for PyTorch on Windows, allowing developers to experiment with AI models directly on their PC.
AMD hasn’t provided a detailed list of tools included in the AI bundle, but it does mention “essential tools” for AI development and creative workloads. What exactly these tools are will be announced on January 21st. Considering that AMD has been aggressively marketing AI with its latest product lineup, such as the Ryzen AI 400 series and AMD RDNA 4 GPUs, it makes sense to launch a unified software package to simplify the use of AI tools.
