It’s A Great Year To Be A Mac User, As Apple Is Preparing Seven Different Types Of Products By 2026, Not Including Redesigned Touch Screen Variants

Notebook makers are reducing production, but Apple seems to be in the opposite mood as the Cupertino giant plans a large number of Mac launches this year. Several models are expected to be announced within weeks, and best of all, the latest tally doesn’t even include the OLED M6 MacBook Pro, which is expected to come with a redesigned chassis and touchscreen capabilities.

The entire lineup is expected to start with a low-cost MacBook, followed by updated 13-inch and 15-inch M5 MacBook Air models.

As usual, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman didn’t drop any big surprises by revealing each Mac’s launch date, but he did at least provide a list of all the hardware expected to arrive later this year. A few hours ago, we reported that the low-cost MacBook would use an aluminum chassis and be decked out in bright color options, with Gurman providing an update early on that the M5 Pro, M5 Max, and M5 Ultra were slated to launch in the first half of 2026. • New cheap MacBook
• New 13-inch and 15-inch M5 MacBook Air models
• New M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models
• The new M5 Ultra Mac Studio
• New M5 and M5 Pro Mac mini
• New M5 iMac (possibly an M5 Pro option but unconfirmed)
• New Apple Studio Look

Mac sales are expected to increase this year, with the low-cost version powered by the A18 Pro expected to account for 25 percent of Apple’s computing revenue in 2025 alone. What we’re really interested in is whether M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro sales will decline as buyers save for the redesigned OLED models. Whatever the case, those interested in purchasing this machine will have many options available.
